The National Bank (TNB) and Ramallah Municipality signed a memorandum of understanding under which the bank will adopt the two streets adjacent to its head office building in Al-Masyoun for a period of six months. The initiative includes maintaining the general cleanliness of the two streets, planting their sides and the islands in the middle, in addition to carrying out the necessary painting works.
The MoU was signed by the CEO of the National Bank, Salameh Khalil, and the Mayor of Ramallah, Issa Kassis, at the Municipality Building in the presence of a number of Palestinian private sector companies participating in the initiative.
Commenting on the event, Khalil commended the initiative and other green initiatives that the Ramallah Municipality has been launching. He also praised the municipality for always involving private sector institutions, stressing that the "Adopt a Street" initiative is in line with TNB’s sustainability strategy and supports the bank's efforts to preserve the environment, enhances the sense of belonging of employees to the community and boosts their volunteer activities.
