The TNB family, represented by its employees, executive management, and board of directors members, took the initiative to provide relief to the people of the Gaza by providing thousands of hot meals to families in shelters in the southern, central and northern governorates. In implementation of this, the TNB family, represented by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Anan Al-Zagha, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Development Work Center in the presence of the Center's Chairperson, Ms. Luna Saadeh, the Director General of the Center, Mr. Sami Khadir, the Internal Auditor, Mr. Odeh Zaghmouri and a number of managers from both sides with the aim of delivering contributions to needy families in the area.
During the signing of the agreement, Al-Zagha expressed his pride in this voluntary initiative launched by the Bank's family, which reflects deep belonging to the community and support in all its issues. This also reflects values of solidarity by members of the institution. He pointed out that the initiative consisted of donating working days to provide meals to displaced families in the Gaza Strip given the level of food insecurity there due to the war.
For his part, the Director General of Ma'an Development Center, Sami Khadir, said he was proud of the partnership with TNB, which chose Ma'an Center as a key partner in implementing humanitarian interventions in the Gaza Strip within the Bank's plan in the field of social responsibility. This intervention comes to support our people in the Gaza Strip, where the center was able to distribute thousands of meals to families in the shelters in Jabalia, Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun, Deir al-Balah and Rafah, as part of a wide and continuous campaign implemented by the center with the support of TNB, with a special focus on the northern Gaza Strip suffering from a large shortage of foodstuffs.
