The National Bank concluded its sponsorship of the14th edition of the “Wain a Ramallah” Festival, as the Municipality of Ramallah - the organizer – awarded TNB and its partnership during the closing ceremony. The festival took place from August 10 until August 15, 2023 in Rashid Al-Haddadin Square, opposite the City Hall. It included a series of diverse art and singing performances by Palestinian bands from various regions, and bands from brotherly Jordan.
The CEO of TNB Salameh Khalil received the Shield of Appreciation and expressed his pride in the high-level of organization, the performances, and the festival’s contribution to the promotion of national unity. Palestinian local and diaspora groups took part in the festival, and the CEO of TNB stressed the importance of culture and arts in consolidating and preserving Palestinian identity. Khalil thanked the Municipality of Ramallah for its efforts in bringing the festival to the international scene.
This year, around 24 thousand visitors came to the festival from various regions of the West Bank and the Palestinian territory. The slogan of the festival was “75 years on the path of return.”
It should be noted that the “Wain a Ramallah” Festival is an extension of the summer days of Ramallah in the 1950s and 1960s. It brings back the traditions of those decades, as the Municipality of Ramallah revived it 14 years ago on the centenary of its founding.
