The National Bank (TNB) launched a new savings accounts campaign with a number of valuable prizes to promote financial security for savers and their families. The prizes include: a house, a salary for 10 years, a car (twice a year), a monthly cash prize of 100,000 shekels, two ounces of gold weekly and a golden coin daily.
The campaign targets all segments of society, including women, men and children, and includes all types of savings accounts at TNB. All savings accounts with a minimum of $200 or its equivalent in other currencies are eligible to enter the draw, and every additional $200 gives a new opportunity to enter the draw again.
TNB’s Chief Retail Banking Officer, Ayman Dahadha, stressed the importance of saving as a habit to help people in planning for their future. He indicated that this campaign seeks to encourage Palestinian citizens to save a sum of their monthly income, no matter how small, in order to build a better future for them and their families. He added that launching a savings accounts campaign was in line with TNB’s strategy to increase its market share of savings deposits in the Palestinian banking system.
Dahadha pointed out that the prizes were selected to meet the financial security needs of savers given that the goal of saving was to provide a more secure future for themselves and their family by buying a house and a car. A fixed monthly income is also among the prizes to guarantee the stability that every citizen is looking for. The prizes were chosen to reflect safety and stability.
Dahadha added that, in accordance with TNB’s objectives to launch responsible campaigns and programs, and in line with its social responsibility strategy, it will donate one dollar for each new savings account opened throughout this year as part of the campaign to the funds of students in need in Palestinian universities. He stressed that supporting the education sector was directly aligned with the program's values as education is the cornerstone of future security.
It should be noted that the campaign will continue until 31/12/2023 with more than 300 winners, and that all major currencies in circulation in Palestine (US dollars, Jordanian dinars, euros, and shekels) are accepted. The draw for the first big prize will take place in mid-2023, and the second by the end of the year.
