The National Bank (TNB) signed a cooperation agreement with the Jerusalem Princess Basma Centre to support the rehabilitation and care of 30 Palestinian boys and girls with disabilities receiving treatment at the Charity for better integration.
The CEO of TNB Mr. Salameh Khalil and the General Manager of the Jerusalem Princess Basma Centre Ms. Violette Mubarak signed the agreement in the Headquarters of TNB in Ramallah.
Khalil emphasized, in his speech during the signing ceremony, the importance of rehabilitation programs in developing the physical and mental capacities of children with disabilities to facilitate their integration in society. He also mentioned that this cooperation will contribute to achieving that goal.
Khalil praised the important role of the Jerusalem Princess Basma Centre in this field, and the comprehensive programs they provide from rehabilitation to inclusive education implemented by the Centre over the past decades to serve Palestinian children with disabilities not only from the Jerusalem governorate, but from all governorates of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Khalil stressed the importance of supporting the survival of these institutions in the Holy City, for the key developmental role they play despite difficult challenges and existing conditions that affect their work.
For her part, Ms. Violette Mubarak thanked TNB for its contribution to supporting the institution's capacity to continue providing comprehensive rehabilitation services for Palestinian children with disabilities, praising the role of private sector institutions and the importance of social solidarity between various sectors in order to continue providing health and rehabilitation services.
It is worth noting that the Jerusalem Princess Basma Centre is the first transformative center for children with disabilities in Palestine, and it provides its services to secure opportunities for comprehensive rehabilitation and inclusive education for Palestinian children, in addition to enabling them to participate, influence and benefit from equal opportunities to achieve their aspirations.
