The National Bank (TNB), in collaboration with digital marketing expert Ahmad Barakat, launched the first free intensive course on e-commerce and digital marketing for women entrepreneurs. The course focuses on building digital marketing campaigns across different social media, and establishing digital marketing strategies based on scientific grounds and analysis of users on different platforms. Twenty-five women from different Palestinian regions participated in the course, representing different fields including embroidery, soap, nurseries, recycling, flower arrangement, photography, event planning, and others.
TNB Head of Public Relations Reem Anani stated that the course is a special gift from TNB to Palestinian women entrepreneurs, and that it is the first step in the series of non-financial services to be provided by the Bank for Palestinian Women, to complete the chain that it started with free interest funding for women entrepreneurs. Anani concurred that the digital marketing topic was selected because studies indicated that marketing is one of the major obstacles facing projects launched by women, which led TNB to contribute to refining the skills of women in the field of digital marketing for the success of their projects.
From his side, Barakat pointed out the importance of marketing through social media platforms and the need for correctly presenting projects on these platforms, stressing that the proper use of social media would increase the revenues of these projects and thus increase the income of Palestinian women in particular and reflect positively on the local economy in general. Barakat added that this course, in partnership with TNB, will develop women's skills in promoting their projects, as it will increase the chances of women entrepreneurs to progress and succeed in their projects with less cost and effort.
It is worth noting that the course will be intensive for 18 hours spread over 3 days. On the last day, training will be provided for the preparation of project financial statements, customer service, as well as the refinement of the management skills of participants.
