Under the title of "Let's Share the Warmth", employees of the National Bank (TNB) launched today a permanent campaign to donate clothes, books and toys to needy families. The initiative aims to involve all employees in the social initiatives launched by the Bank to encourage connection with the community and foster empathy. For this initiative, the Bank allocated a large fund to collect donations, and a specialized association was tasked to deliver donations to eligible beneficiaries.
TNB Chief Executive Officer, Salameh Khalil, indicated that the initiative came from a group of bank employees who wanted to contribute in supporting needy families and to be more active in the the community. Khalil stressed that this is only the first step within the volunteer and community work program of TNB employees, which was developed this year. He confirmed that there will be multiple social initiatives to enhance the employees' sense of belonging to the community and support it at all levels.
It is worth noting that the campaign will include different donations according to occasions and seasons, as clothes will be donated in winter, food parcels during the Holy Month of Ramadan, and toys for children during the holidays. As for books, they will be supplied to libraries in deprived areas through village councils.
