Under the theme “If Not Us, Who?”, The National Bank (TNB) is sponsoring the TEDxAlQudsUniversity annual event which shall take place this Saturday, July 10, at Al-Quds University campus in Abu Dis, Jerusalem. The event is limited to 70 attendees due to the coronavirus health measures, including students, alumni, faculty members, guests and 10 inspiring speakers who will discuss social, economic, environmental, scientific, and political ideas. 
The theme this year highlights the power of the new generation to make a positive change in the community, by showcasing several inspiring models who presented their ideas and told their stories to motivate, empower and make a change. 
TNB Vice Chairman, Omar Masri, said” we are delighted to be part of TEDxAlQudsUniversity this year, because we believe in the importance of hearing out the young generation’s voice. They come from diverse backgrounds, and we must afford them the forums to share their ideas and thoughts in order for them to drive innovation and bring about change. TNB is investing in this young generation because Palestine’s bright future depends on them.”
This is the third year that Al-Quds University succeeds in hosting and organizing a TEDx event, which is organized by a group of volunteers from the university’s student body. TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through TEDx events. These events are organized by passionate individuals who seek to uncover new ideas and to share the latest research in their local areas that spark conversations in their communities.
