The International Civil Engineering Conference, sponsored by TNB and organized by the Palestinian Engineering Association ( PEA), opened its first session today, in the city of Albierh.
The opening took place in presence of the Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Alhamdallah, representing the Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, who pointed in his speech to the development of engineering in the Palestinian Territories, stressing on the importance of this conference and praising the role the Palestinian national institutions play and their efforts in developing the Palestinian economy.
Director General of TNB, Ahmad Alhaj Hasan boasted the strategic partnership between TNB and the PEA as well as all the other national institutions, pointing that TNB invested 80% of its assets in Palestine in order to develop the Palestinian national economy, thanking the PEA for giving the bank this chance to sponsor this significant conference.
This conference is the first International conference for Civil Engineering to be held in Palestine, and aims to develop civil engineering practices, upgrade the quality of work, enhance research and creativity among the Palestinian engineers, and attract new investments and new technologies in the civil engineering field.
